Privacy Policy
Effective date: April 3, 2025 · Online Compiler by CodeSmash
Your privacy matters. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and what we don't do with it. Short version: we collect almost nothing and store even less.
01Information We Collect
We do not require you to create an account or provide any personal information to use the Online Compiler. The only data we process is: • Code you write and submit for execution — this is sent to the Judge0 CE API for processing and is not stored on our servers. • Standard browser data such as your IP address and browser type, which may be logged by our hosting provider (Vercel) for security and performance purposes. • Local storage in your browser — we save your code files and preferences locally on your device. This data never leaves your browser.
02How We Use Your Information
We use information solely to: • Execute your code via the Judge0 CE public API • Maintain and improve the reliability of the service • Analyse aggregated, anonymous usage to understand how the tool is used We do not sell, rent, or share your information with any third parties for marketing purposes.
03Third‑Party Services
We use the following third-party services: Judge0 CE (ce.judge0.com) — Code execution. Your source code and stdin input are transmitted to this service. Judge0's own privacy policy applies to data processed by their API. Vercel — Hosting and edge delivery. Standard server access logs may be retained per Vercel's privacy policy. We recommend reviewing their respective privacy policies if you have concerns about how they handle data.
04Cookies
We do not use tracking cookies or advertising cookies. The only browser storage we use is localStorage to save your code session client-side. You can clear this at any time via your browser settings.
05Data Retention
We do not store your code or execution results on our servers. Code submitted for execution is sent to Judge0 CE for processing and is subject to their retention policies (typically not stored beyond the immediate request). Browser localStorage data persists until you clear your browser data or use the Reset button in the compiler.
06Children's Privacy
This service is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
07Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
